What this guide will help you do

A complete seven-day implementation path for selecting, finalizing, documenting, scheduling, checking and submitting your first AI music single.

FREE IMPLEMENTATION · MILESTONE 7

Prepare and Release Your First AI Music Single in 7 Days

Build the complete release package, run the seven gates, submit through the chosen route and preserve the evidence.

Read the Milestone 7 overview first

Your seven-day contract

Bring the Milestone 4 catalogue record, authoritative song version, Milestone 5 rights record, approved credits and disclosure, Milestone 6 artist-home URL, artwork, lyrics, contact route and access to current distributor policies.

Every day produces a permanent asset with the artist, song, release version, owner, date and status.

DAY 1 · SELECT

Approve the correct first-single candidate

Compare realistic candidates for artist alignment, song quality, hook clarity, rights confidence, source confidence, technical readiness, artwork readiness, audience relevance, teaser potential, owned-home fit and future catalogue value.

Required questions

  • Why should this song be first?
  • What does it teach a new listener about the artist?
  • Is the authoritative version clear?
  • Does it contain unresolved rights issues?
  • Can it support several campaign moments?
  • Does the artist home support it now?

Output: First-Single Decision Record

Record candidate songs, authoritative version, artist-alignment score, readiness score, rights status, campaign potential, approval reason, rejected alternatives, remaining fixes, owner and date.

Stop condition: do not select a song with unresolved critical rights or version-authority problems.

DAY 2 · FINALIZE

Lock the master, artwork and release files

Master checks

  • Correct song and version.
  • Complete opening and ending.
  • No accidental silence, count-in, clipping or corruption.
  • Correct clean or explicit version.
  • Correct format and filename.
  • Successful playback after export.
  • Archive and backup saved.

Artwork checks

  • Correct artist and title where displayed.
  • Approved source and provenance.
  • Correct export dimensions.
  • No misleading claims, unsupported logos or conflicting text.
  • Readable at thumbnail size.

Output: Release Master and Asset Pack

For every file, record the authoritative filename, version, format, source, approval date, owner, intended use, backup location and issue status.

No submission begins while multiple files compete as the final master.

DAY 3 · DOCUMENT

Prepare metadata, credits and disclosure

Record the primary artist, featured artists, release title, song title, version title, writers, composers, producers, performers, language, genres, explicit status, release-date target, original-release status, label where used, copyright notice, phonographic copyright notice, territories, lyrics, disclosure, contact and proof-record location.

Contributor review

Confirm each contributor’s approved public name, role, spelling, approval, payment status, ownership or split position, contact and evidence location.

Outputs

  • Release Metadata Sheet
  • Credits and Disclosure Record

Compare both outputs with the artwork, artist website, lyric sheet, rights record and campaign description.

Do not improvise credits or ownership statements during upload.

DAY 4 · COMPARE

Choose the distributor and release route

Review official current policy, AI-content position, impersonation rules, pricing, listed currency, renewal, commission, delivery destinations, review timeline, payout method, tax setup, profile tools, splits, Content ID, support, corrections, takedowns and catalogue transfer.

Possible routes

  • Streaming distribution
  • Direct sale
  • Free public release
  • Private portfolio
  • Limited campaign
  • Combined streaming and direct-sale route

Output: Distributor and Release Route Decision Record

Save the distributor, official policy destination, date checked, plan, listed price and currency, renewal, limitations and reason selected.

DAY 5 · SCHEDULE

Choose the release date and campaign objective

Record the earliest safe submission date, distributor review window, correction buffer, artist-profile setup, owned-page update, announcement date, teaser start, release date, live-verification date and review date.

Choose one primary campaign objective

Qualified page visits, email signups, listens, sales, preorders, direct downloads, community growth or licensing inquiries.

Outputs

  • Release Date Decision Record
  • First-Single Campaign Brief

The campaign brief records the visitor, message, CTA, owned URL, release promise, teaser moments, email route, announcement copy, measurement event, target and reporting period.

Do not approve a release date that leaves no reasonable correction or campaign time.

DAY 6 · CHECK

Run the complete pre-submission audit

Gate Required proof
Song Correct master, locked version and correct clean or explicit decision.
Rights Sources, permissions, contributors, claims and intended use are approved.
Assets Artwork, lyrics, files and backups are complete.
Metadata Artist, title, roles, language, genre, status and date agree.
Distributor Policy, plan, payment, payout and account requirements are understood.
Campaign Owned destination, CTA, social preview and brief are ready.
Submission Fields, owner, evidence process and correction route are prepared.

Output: Pre-Submission Release QA Record

Record each check, expected result, actual result, pass or fail, severity, owner, correction and correction date.

Use severity labels: critical, major, moderate, minor and observation. Critical failures stop submission.

DAY 7 · SUBMIT

Submit and govern the first single

  1. Upload the authoritative master.
  2. Upload the approved artwork.
  3. Enter metadata from the approved sheet.
  4. Review optional services carefully.
  5. Confirm release date and territories.
  6. Submit.
  7. Save confirmation, identifiers and screenshots or receipts.
  8. Assign status monitoring and a correction owner.

Final output: Submitted First AI Music Single Record

Include the decision record, asset pack, metadata, credits, disclosure, distributor decision, release date, campaign brief, QA record, submission receipt, assigned identifiers, status schedule and Milestone 8 handoff.

Troubleshooting

The distributor rejects the release

Record the stated reason and decide whether to correct metadata, replace artwork, provide information, choose another eligible route, hold the release or seek professional advice.

An uploaded element cannot be verified

Replace it, obtain permission or hold the release.

The wrong artist profile is assigned

Use the correction process and retain every request, ticket and response.

The release date is no longer realistic

Move the date before launching the campaign.

The wrong master was uploaded

Stop or correct the submission immediately and preserve both the error and correction record.

You do not want streaming

Use a direct-sale, download, licensing or portfolio route while retaining the same rights, asset and governance standards.

Completion statement

I prepared and submitted a first AI music single using an approved master, documented rights, consistent metadata, verified artwork, a controlled release destination and a saved submission record.
