Assemble the One-Song Release Package
WHERE YOU ARE: The creative asset and its public presentation are now defined. Your final Phase 2 job is to make the package understandable without depending on your memory or a verbal explanation.
YOU SHOULD ALREADY HAVE
- Label-Ready Song Master Packet.
- Track Positioning & Identity Record.
- Release Metadata & Credits Record.
- Visual & Copy Packet.
THE DECISION
Could another competent person receive this package and identify the approved song, rights context, credits, artwork and public copy without asking which files are current?
DO THE WORK
- Create one release-package folder using a clear track/project name.
- Move or copy only approved/current assets into the appropriate folders. Keep experimental material outside the handoff package.
- Create a simple package manifest listing the canonical master, key records and asset filenames.
- Check title/name spelling across audio filenames, artwork, lyrics, metadata and copy.
- Check that rights/provenance documentation describes the same master in the audio folder.
- Mark optional assets as optional rather than pretending they exist.
- Run the Red / Yellow / Green packaging gate below.
PACKAGE GATE
SAVE THIS
The completed One-Song Release Package and package manifest are the evidence of Phase 2 completion.
DO NOT ADVANCE IF
- More than one file appears to be the approved release master.
- The rights packet and metadata credit different people or roles without explanation.
- The artwork/title/artist identity does not match the release metadata.
- You are using a full pitch deck to hide the fact that basic release files are missing.
READY TO CONTINUE WHEN
The package is Green for deployment and any Yellow items are genuinely non-blocking and documented.
PHASE 2 COMPLETE
You now have a professional release package. Do not distribute it blindly.
Phase 3 · DEPLOY will choose the release runway, distributor workflow, artist-profile preparation, pitching, audience destinations, launch inventory and baseline measurement. Until that phase is active, preserve this package as the source of truth.
