The governing question
What happens when courage earns power—but power exposes the parts of a person victory could never heal?
Goliath tests whether David can stand when he appears powerless. Kingship tests what David does when other people are comparatively powerless before him. That is the deeper Act II problem: calling, talent, faith and past courage do not remove the need for restraint, justice and accountability once authority arrives.
