Why this Academy lesson uses a light colour format
Jack Righteous normally uses a black, white and gold identity. Academy lessons use a lighter working format because their tables and records are intended to be printed, highlighted, annotated and saved as PDFs. It uses less ink and remains readable in colour or black and white.

Required foundation: Complete Article 1 and bring your Milestone 7 audience, outcome, format, delivery and version-one decisions.
Running example: A six-episode AI music education podcast with a six-part printable workbook. The season guides a beginner from creative direction to one documented release decision.
Day 1 · Promise and finish line
Decision
The project’s observable result.
Why
Structure needs a finish line.
Time
About 30–45 minutes.
  1. State the audience’s starting condition.
  2. State the completion condition.
  3. Write one verification test.
Example: A beginner starts with many generated tracks and finishes with one selected track, contribution record, package checklist and release route.
Complete when: another person could verify the result.
Common mistake: Defining completion as covering all topics.
Day 2 · Major stages
Decision
The large movements required.
Why
Stages prevent a flat topic list.
Time
About 45–60 minutes.
  1. Choose the leading logic.
  2. Draft three to seven stages.
  3. Give each stage an audience result.
Example: Choose direction → control creation → document contribution → package → select release route → commit to next action.
Complete when: every stage moves the audience closer to the finish line.
Common mistake: Naming stages for style instead of function.
Day 3 · Units and jobs
Decision
What belongs inside each stage.
Why
Every unit needs one primary job.
Time
About 60–90 minutes.
Unit Primary job Audience outcome Completion standard
Complete when: every unit has a distinct job and observable result.
Common mistake: Including units merely because material already exists.
Day 4 · Dependencies and transitions
Decision
The correct order and bridges.
Why
Units fail when prerequisites arrive later.
Time
About 45–75 minutes.
Example bridge: “You have selected the track. Before packaging it, record the human choices and contributors that shaped it.”
Complete when: no unit depends on a later decision or asset.
Common mistake: Opening with the most exciting material rather than the required foundation.
Day 5 · Support map
Decision
What evidence, examples and exercises are necessary.
Why
Support improves use without expanding the core.
Time
About 45–60 minutes.
Unit Evidence/reference Example/story Exercise/asset Required?
Complete when: every support element has a defined purpose.
Common mistake: Turning every example into another bonus or download.
Day 6 · Balance and scope
Decision
What to keep, combine, move or remove.
Why
A structure must be producible.
Time
About 45–60 minutes.

Rate 1–5, multiply by the weight and total. Example: Promise fit 5 × weight 5 = 25. A fatal dependency, rights, safety or completion weakness overrides the total.

Criterion Weight Rating Weighted score
Promise fit 5
Audience value 5
Distinct job 4
Dependency fit 4
Production feasibility 3
Complete when: version one is balanced and realistic.
Day 7 · Final record
Decision
The structure approved for production planning.
Why
Production needs one source of truth.
Time
About 60–90 minutes.

Project Structure and Content Map Record

Complete when: another person can understand the full sequence and why every unit exists.

Save and use this record

Save it in the project folder. It becomes the source for unit briefs, production tasks, owners and review gates in the next milestone.

The free result is enough when:
  • The sequence is clear
  • Each unit has one job
  • Dependencies are resolved
  • Version one is bounded
  • You can begin production planning
Continue to VIP when:
  • Several structures remain viable
  • Multiple contributors or media are involved
  • Gaps and duplication are difficult to detect
  • Production load needs control
  • A team needs unit-level briefs

Route by project type

Create with intention. Document the decisions. Release with purpose. Build something you own.
