AI Cinematic Storyboard System for Creators
AI Cinematic Storyboard System
From mood board to movie-quality scenes
This guide shows how to develop cinematic visual projects using AI image and video tools. Use it for short films, music videos, brand storytelling sequences, or scene-based launches.
Tool-flexible and brand-adaptable. Optimized for Leonardo AI, but works with Runway, Midjourney, Kaiber, or Pika.
Part of the GET JACKED Brand Build System — align message, music, and visuals for long-term growth.
Phase 1: Foundation — message, mood, visual tone
Step 0: Define your message
- What is this story or video really about?
- What feeling should people walk away with?
- What’s the deeper truth or symbolism behind it?
Use the JR Content Strategy Planner GPT to define tone, values, and creative identity before you build visuals.
Step 0.5: Build a mood board
Follow the full guide: AI Mood Board Guide
- Generate 8–12 inspiration images
- Organize by:
- Symbolic anchors (chains, fire, throne)
- Character types (prophet, seeker, warrior)
- Lighting / texture (dusk haze, ember light)
Upload and manage your board in Pinterest, Canva, Notion, or Instagram.
Phase 2: Prompt engineering — build your AI visual language
Goal: build a repeatable prompt system that is emotionally accurate, visually cinematic, and GPT-compatible.
Step 1: Define the scene blueprint
Fill this once per scene. Then let GPT generate your prompt variations.
Scene Title:
Core Emotion:
Subject:
Action:
Environment:
Mood:
Visual Style:
Camera Motion:
Lighting & Atmosphere:
Symbols:
Faith/Cultural Anchor:
Step 2: GPT instruction block
Use your blueprint inputs to generate movie-grade prompts for AI video tools.
TASK: Write an optimized cinematic prompt for AI video generation.
Format:
[Subject + Action + Environment]
Mood: [Emotion]
Style: [Visual aesthetic]
Motion: [Camera movement]
Lighting: [Light source or vibe]
EXTRA:
- Provide 2 prompt variations
- Add 1 symbolic/stylized version
- Highlight the most visually powerful phrase
Step 3: Refine the prompt (self-check table)
| Prompt line | Checkpoint question |
|---|---|
| Subject | Is it visually rich and symbolically strong? |
| Action | Does it create motion, tension, or emotion? |
| Environment | Is it specific, textured, cinematic? |
| Mood | Does it match the intended emotion? |
| Style | Is it consistent with your brand or narrative? |
| Motion | Is it clear enough to guide movement? |
| Lighting | Can it carry the scene visually? |
Step 4: Run prompt tests + save
Track prompts like a producer. Score them, note strengths, fix weaknesses.
| Scene | Version | Prompt | Score | Strengths | Fixes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| [Name] | V1 | Text | 3/5 | Mood OK | Lighting weak |
